Back Away From the Discovery Channel: Real Quantum Physics
Quantum mechanics is full of wonder, and you don’t have to accept the junk science on TV to see its majesty. It’s the study of wee little particles — ones so tiny that they no longer obey Newton’s laws, but instead follow much stranger rules.
We’ll start from the first experiments and discover why the universe requires the laws of quantum mechanics. Then, we’ll examine predictions and their results to interpret what’s happening.
Don’t remember any multi-variable calculus? Don’t worry about it! This class will be entirely math-free. Anyone with a logical mind and a willingness to challenge their notions about the laws of nature can learn this stuff.

Adam Roush, a D.C.-area native, is a former Cardiff resident, a former member of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, and a Wales rugby supporter forever. In between studying Welsh and managing roller derby events, Adam finds time to be a full-time teacher of physics, mathematics, and computer science at the high school level.
