Bánh mì is the delicious fusion of a French baguette and Vietnamese cuisine. (Some argue the dish is the only good thing to come from imperialism.) The mix of just-baked baguettes, pickled vegetables, and savory meats leaves one wondering, what are these mouthwatering ingredients? Ordering bánh mì can be mysterious as well — why do bánh mì shops list their sandwiches by number? How does one know what to order?

Join us on a day trip to Eden Center, the heart and soul of the East Coast’s Vietnamese-American community. As we tour the Falls Church shopping center, we’ll stop at a few bakeries to sample some signature desserts. For lunch, we’ll dine on bánh mì or phở, and drink bubble tea. You’ll even learn a few Vietnamese phrases along the way.

Please bring money for lunch.
