This obsolete paper thing once helped people move from place to place without GPS devices.

Got newspapers piling up in the recycle bin, or miles of kraft paper from online purchases? (Or just a CVS receipt?) What about gift wrap, ribbon, VHS tapes, film strips, yarn, or plastic bags?

This class will teach you to put papers and other found materials to good use through weaving. Make a small, catch-all basket that’s perfect for keys, phones, and spare change — and also looks a bit like art.

You can bring your own materials (including eight clothespins), or pay a $5 materials fee.

This class is presented in partnership with SCRAP DC.
