Behind the Scenes: Takoma Radio
In March 2015, Historic Takoma announced that its community radio project would become WOWD-LP, broadcasting via LPFM in a 2-5 mile radius of Takoma. Takoma Radio is now on air and is conveniently located at 94.3 FM on your dial and in Takoma Park on your feet.
During the tour, you’ll get an insider’s look from one of the founders and have the opportunity to go live on the air. Please bring a CD or USB drive with one song of your choice (some may go on air, others may not) and your best radio personality. Afterward, feel free to stick around to listen to Bayou Boogie, a Tuesday night program at 7 p.m.
