Bitcoin for Beginners
Bitcoin’s become a media darling. The emerging digital currency, which circumvents banks and credit card companies, is making headlines for its high value against the dollar. The ins and outs of how Bitcoins are made and used, though, can easily elude the non-techie.
This class will answer the following questions, among others:
- What the heck is a cryptocurrency?
- What are the risks and benefits of this technology?
- How can you use it?
- How can you invest with it?
- How can your business use it?
We’ll provide a live demonstration of a Bitcoin transaction and explain what happens behind the scenes.
Please create a free account/Bitcoin wallet at bitcoinlocal.com prior to attending this class. Bring a laptop or an Android phone; iPhones and Bitcoins don’t play well together.
