Past

In this celebrated first novel of George Saunders, you will enter the ghostly world of young Willie Lincoln, the son of Abraham Lincoln who died while his father was in office. Willie adjusts to the afterlife with the help of some of his new “neighbors” at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Join a discussion of Lincoln in the Bardo at the Oak Hill Cemetery chapel. After the discussion, you’ll have the option of visiting the tomb where Willie was interred (and where his father came to visit). Please email us if you have trouble obtaining a copy of the book.
