A Brief Introduction to 3D Printing
Have you heard about 3D printing, but still wonder where the paper goes? Are you a designer working on a project that could benefit from rapid prototyping (i.e. making a prototype really fast)?
In this class, we’ll explore the underlying processes of 3D printing, learn the basics of 3D modeling using design software freely available on the internets, and discover valuable resources for 3D printing in the area. Finally, we’ll review the 3D printing capabilities of the Digital Commons at the District of Columbia Public Library. Plus, you’ll get a preview of the library’s new makerspace, the Fab Lab!
Meet in the Digital Commons area. Please bring a laptop if you have one.
This class is presented in partnership with DC Public Library.
