British Television Appreciation
If you’re tired of being jerked around by “Downton Abbey” and have watched every “Sherlock” five times, join us for an introduction to proper British telly — the stuff you won’t see on BBC America or PBS. You’ll learn about the best and worst shows in a variety of genres; where to find said shows; and how to understand what the heck the actors/contestants/hosts/narrator/snooker announcers are talking about. Tea, biscuits and crisps will be served.

Beth Marlowe loves “Doctor Who,” “Downton Abbey,” and any show about a gruff detective solving murders in an idyllic British town. When not watching marathons of aforementioned shows, she is an editor at The Washington Post Express.
