Citizen Circles Kickoff
Our January session might be over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t keep learning. We’ll advise you on how to start your own “class,” or Citizen Circle, where everyone contributes to teaching instead of a dedicated instructor.
Citizen Circles are:
- 3 or more self-directed learners.
- Who come together 6 or more times.
- All contributing according to their own abilities.
- Using all of the collective experience, resources, & knowledge at their disposal.
- In order to explore a particular topic, skill, project, or question further.
Citizen Circles have been organized in DC over the last two years — with the help of Hub DC — on topics like Creative Writing, Strengthening Personal Resilience, Systems Dynamics, and Community Wealth Building.
If you are interested in continuing to explore a topic you began learning at KCDC – or something completely different – join us. We’ll provide a more robust explanation and some timeworn advice about how Citizen Circles work.
Check back in this space for proposed topics, or submit your own to cocreate@citizencircles.com
