Conflict Resolution With a Difficult Person
Conflict resolution isn’t just about good communication skills (though those certainly help). It’s also about finding the motivation to use the skills you already have to overcome being “emotionally hijacked” by another person.
In this class, we won’t be speaking in general terms. You’ll be asked to reflect on the conflicts you’ve had with difficult people in your own life, and to share your experiences with other students. We’ll discuss why we have strong reactions to certain individuals’ behaviors, and practice a couple exercises to improve interactions with said emotional hijackers.
