Create Your Own Art Light Box
Take a small wooden box, drill some holes in it, decorate with tissue paper/drawings/fake flowers/etc., stick a light in the back, and voila: softly glowing wall art. You’ll learn to alter your box, wire the light socket, and create transparent images to adorn it.
In lieu of charging you a materials fee, we ask that you bring your own light-box components:
- wooden box (a cigar box or something similar);
- C7 socket;
- C7 light bulb;
- a plug;
- some electrical lamp wire.
Don’t be intimidated! You can easily find these items at your local hardware store or Home Depot. Click here to see what these things look like. And feel free to email us with any questions/concerns that come up.
