A Creative Process on Creative Processes: Deconstruction

date Sunday, 13 January 2013 time 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

👤 Jue Yang 🏢 Above the Bike Shop

Past

In this three-part writing workshop, we’ll explore our personal creative processes. Each workshop will begin with an activity as a writing prompt. The first will relate to construction; the second, deconstruction; and the third, synthesis. Following the activity we will take about 20 minutes to write about a creative process from our past.

Deconstruction: Taking something and re-discovering, even questioning, its structure.
Activity: Bring an object to class. Do a little research beforehand: How did the object come into being? What are the materials? Where did it come from? How is one part put together with another?

You’re welcome to attend this meeting and/or the next if you didn’t attend the first. You’ll need to register for each individually.
