Learn some Czech customs, taste some Czech foods, and discover why there might be a carp in your bathtub on Christmas Eve.

We’ll start out the class with some basic Czech phrases (like “hello” and “thank you”) before moving on to the food. We will talk about the origin of Pilsner beer and the traditional herbal digestive Becherovka (for those 21 and older), discover the difference between different types of dumplings, figure out what it means if cheese is “pickled,” and taste components of a traditional Christmas meal.

This class has a $5 materials fee. Please bring ID if you want to taste the beer and Becherovka.
