Designing Show Posters and Flyers
Using a projector and individual’s/borrowed laptops, I’ll go over some basic skills for creating flyers to promote events using GIMP. We’ll start with document set-up and move through image manipulation to pre-press tips. This workshop is open to musicians, artists, and others who are interested in promoting events or just learning some basics of photo editing software.
Please bring a laptop and maybe have a project in mind (projects can range from flyers for block parties to album releases). Please download GIMP software before the class so we can fit as much into each session as possible.
Class meeting schedule
Note: This is a three part course with additional class dates on September 9th and 16th. Please plan on attending all three classes for full instruction on the software, design, etc.
