Not everything worth photographing happens under a bright summer sun, and flashes offer mixed results (washed-out photos, harsh shadows, red eye, pet eye). In this class, you’ll learn how to use your camera settings to capture great-looking images in low light. We’ll meet indoors to discuss techniques, then go on a short photowalk around Farragut Square to try out what we’ve learned.

Bring your cameras!

This class is presented in partnership with the used bookstore Carpe Librum. Proceeds from Carpe Librum’s sales fund Turning the Page, an organization that helps D.C. public school students receive the resources they need by engaging parents and connecting parents, teachers, and communities.
