Things break, and repairing anything with electricity can be daunting. Fortunately, fixing electric things is less scary — and requires considerably less magic — than you might think.

In this participatory course, we’ll disassemble and fix an electric power tool. You will gain hands-on experience with common problems and fixes for broken electrical appliances. As we work, you’ll learn principles of electric locomotion, a universal diagnostic framework (applicable for non-electric things too!), and basic repair techniques.
