The course will teach the fundamentals of drawing the human form. We will study the human head and learn about the general proportions of the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth in relation to each other. You’ll learn to draw the human heads and bodies based on classical proportions — think about Greek gods in works of art, whose creators used strict ratios to achieve perfection. At the end of the class, we will draw from a live (and not nude, btw) model.

Please bring a hard backing to bear down on; newsprint or sketching paper; and a number 2 pencil.
