Glogg im Himmel!*
Everyone likes to relax with a cold drink in summer, but what should you sip when it’s so cold you can’t feel your lips? We’ll explore the history and making of warmed and spiced beverages, largely in the mulled-wine family. (Scandinavian glogg, for example.) Bring your own recipes, spices, and ideas, if you desire. Sampling the drinks is encouraged, so revelry may occur.
Also, please bring a mug or other receptacle suitable for hot liquids.
* “Glogg im Himmel!” is a play on “Gott im Himmel!” — German for “God in heaven!” Because glogg is heavenly.

Erika Rydberg, a D.C. transplant from the northernly lands of Boston, got involved with Knowledge Commons DC after an awesome experience in a Brookline, Mass., community skillshare during her college days. By day she works at a library and by night she can be found performing poetry, listening to music, or cooking copious amounts of vegetarian food.
