Whether you’re outraged over gun control or a pothole, someone in the government is ready to hear your complaints. If you can find him. And get her attention. And air your grievance(s) succinctly and powerfully.

In this class for the civically clueless, we’ll explain the typical roles of local, state, and federal governments, then who to contact about what (and when and how …) in each. Since D.C. is an exception to pretty much every rule, you’ll meet an ANC Commisioner who can speak to effectively interacting with the D.C. government.

Finally, we’ll spend a little time on how to use these tactics to bend cable providers and other corporate behemoths to your will.
