If the rain won’t take a hike, you can still take a walk.

According to a recent report, D.C. is the second most walkable city in the country. Many KCDC teachers take advantage of this by leading walking tours on a variety of unique topics. Whether you’re new to the idea of giving a walking tour or looking for fresh techniques to apply to your next tour, come take a walk with us!

After learning the basics of planning your tour and a few techniques to make tours interactive and fun, you’ll practice in small groups and receive constructive feedback. Many of the concepts also apply to bike tours, so we’ll briefly cover bike tour basics as well.

This class will meet in Meridian Hill Park, allowing us to walk and talk in a real outdoor setting — just like you’ll do on your tour.
