Everyone can draw — we do it from a young age, and drawing is tightly linked to our process of understanding the world. Children don’t say “I can’t draw” — instead, they point to their drawings and say “This is a dog” or “This is a jar of peanut butter” or “This is a girl with a hat and a belly button.”

But as we get older, people divide themselves into those who can and can’t draw. This class will prove that this is a mistake! Doodling, drawing, and cartooning is for everyone.

Your teacher will guide you through two hands-on drawing and doodling exercises, and you’ll have the opportunity to share your work with others and discuss different styles. Come to this class if you doodle, miss doodling, or if you have moments in the day when you need to express a feeling or idea but the words elude you.
