date Thursday, 13 September 2012 time 6:30 p.m.

👤 Andrew Bachter, Danna Pope 🏢 Rosslyn Metro

Past

Feeling like an outsider is a common experience in groups, which is deepened by cultural differences, historical marginalization, and the often unaware advantages of some group members. This participatory workshop explores ways to bridge the gap between those who are in the mainstream of a group and those who are in the margins, in order to create more inclusive and rewarding group experiences.

Join Danna Pope, who works in conflict transformation and Andrew Batcher, a teacher and activist in the DC Learning Collective to explore the politics, problems, and possibilities of group interactions. This class comes highly recommended for anyone leading or participating in group activities, meetings or gatherings.

Meet at the Rosslyn Metro by the Manager Station. Someone will be there to usher you up to Ashoka.

Meet outside Rosslyn Metro Station, and we’ll walk over to the Ashoka together. Please arrive promptly, as it is a secure building and you’ll need help getting in.
