Sheryl Sandberg and Nell Scovell’s best-selling “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead” has been very popular with book clubs, on university campuses, and among celebrities. The book reignited a debate about feminism, women’s roles, “having it all,” and work-life-spiritual balance.

But what does “leaning in” look like for women of color? How does Sandberg’s advice apply to women of color looking to advance in the workplace and in their personal lives? Do those words, “lean in,” require a different road map to achieve the same kinds of successes as other women? Haven’t women of color been leaning in for years?

A panel of accomplished women of color from a variety of professions and across generations will teach this workshop, offering priceless lived experiences, exchanging knowledge, and imparting lessons they’ve learned.
