Learn how to approach strangers in public and take their picture. We’ll go over fundamentals of portraiture, how to pick a subject and ask them for permission, and composing a great shot. After the discussion, we will hit the streets to practice what we’ve learned.

Jim Darling is a corporate and commercial portrait and event photographer. After 20 years in graphic design, he began this new career after challenging himself to shoot 100 street portraits in 2008, rejuvenating his passion for photography. Locally, Jim has exhibited work at the Studio Gallery, the Athenaeum, The Gallery at Vivid Solutions, and Long View Gallery.
