If you were to solo kayak the entire Mississippi River, what lessons do you think you’d learn along the way? Please join us for an afternoon with Alyssum Pohl, who undertook a self-directed 2015 expedition, Paddle On!, in which she solo kayaked the Mississippi River from source to sea, documenting plastic waste and water quality.

During this presentation, you’ll learn more about plastic waste in our oceans and the difference you can make, hear Alyssum’s top seven take-away lessons, enjoy the sights she saw, and laugh along with her trials and tribulations of living on the river. This is an inspiring story of fortitude and pluck that you won’t want to miss, appropriate for any audience.
