Don’t let that childhood experience with raw acorns put you off; acorns are a nutritious and tasty food when processed correctly. After discussing the history of a food source that has been used by native cultures for centuries, you’ll learn how to prepare acorns to be both edible and tasty for humans.

We’ll go through the steps to process acorns so you can tap into this free resource that is abundant in D.C. The class will be hands-on, and you’ll be cracking, separating, grinding, and soaking before leaving with enough processed acorn to make your own acorn slider.

Please bring a container to carry your future meal home.
