Smartphones are by our sides — if not in our faces — almost 24 hours a day. What steps have you taken to secure your device? (Hint: Mobile security doesn’t end with a PIN or passcode.)

In this class, you will participate in a discussion centered upon ways you can improve the security of your mobile device, such as avoiding untrusted Wi-Fi connections, installing updates, and deciding whether to encrypt your smartphone.

This is the final class in a three-part series that also includes Security 101: Protect Yourself Online and Security 201: Encrypt Your Data. If you aren’t able to attend the previous classes, you are still welcome to sign up for this class.

You do not need to bring smartphone, but we bet you will anyway.

This class is presented in partnership with DC Public Library.
