Music Discovery Lab
Join us for Music Discovery Lab, which encourages creative thinking and helps you to develop group listening and improvisational skills. Try your hand at a variety of percussive and electronic instruments and experiment in playing sounds with others. All are welcome regardless of age or skill level!
From 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Jason will perform a solo percussion piece; from 11:30 a.m. to 12 he’ll open the stage to any interested musicians who’d like to improvise. Then until 1 p.m. Jason will lead a drop-in music workshop where you can learn how to make instruments out of common household items and other found objects.
This Music Discovery Lab is part of a broader sustainability-themed day at the Petworth Community Market on June 11. The event requires no registration and you can drop in at any time.
