Your Knowledge Commons DC organizers are taking to the streets to mark Park(ing) Day, the annual worldwide event where artists, designers, and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks. We will each come with a skill that can be learned in a few minutes and create a temporary, mini-school for students and passersby alike. We’ll also talk about some of the history of Parking Day and have a discussion about re-purposing space—including how Knowledge Commons DC uses the city as a playground and some changes for future sessions.

We’ll be setting up somewhere around Kenyon St. and Mt. Pleasant St.… come find us! We’ll also tweet the exact location once we settle into a spot.
