KCDC student Lisa Allen‘s award-winning photo from our Holga class last year.

Taking photos with a Holga, you tend to step back, breathe, and really take in your surroundings; you have to pause and think before you release the shutter.

This class will offer a brief history of the Holga, a popular 1980s camera design, before taking you on a stroll through Yards Park. We’ll provide Holga cameras and film, so you can experience the art and simplicity of medium-format photography firsthand.

There is a $10 materials fee for each roll of 120 mm film. Please bring cash.

This class is presented in partnership with Exposed DC.

Location
