This class is for anyone interested in a different discourse on American politics. We will apply psychoanalytic concepts to both critique the current gridlock in our political system and discover new paths beyond it.

A dry, rote lecture this is not! Instead, it will be an engaging talk that includes discussion of the psychological undertones of gridlock (anal traits, etc.) and the psychoanalytic implications of drones.

Dr. Justin A. Frank practices and teaches psychoanalysis in D.C., where he is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the George Washington University Medical Center. A clinician with more than 30 year’s experience, Dr. Frank is a former columnist for Salon and The Daily Beast, and is a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post. Dr. Frank employs the principles of applied psychoanalysis to assemble the kind of psychological profiles used in his books “Bush on the Couch” and “Obama on the Couch.”
