Past

Are you still shooting photographs in jpeg format? Up your game by shooting in RAW. This class will teach you how to use the RAW function on your camera, and how to process the resulting “digital negatives.”

You’ll learn the difference between RAW and jpeg files, and develop a workflow to optimize your RAW processing. Through exercises with provided files and time to practice with your own files, you’ll have hands-on opportunities to apply what you’ve learned. We’ll also cover free software options for those of you who don’t want to purchase Photoshop.

You will walk out of class with a basic knowledge of the process the pros use, and a few finished images to boot!

Please bring a laptop with Photoshop installed. You can download a free 30-day trial at adobe.com.

This class meets in the Digital Commons Dream Lab.
