A dumpster, via a flatbed scanner.

Ever feel like you should be doing more with your flatbed scanner? This class will teach you to use your scanner to create original artwork. We’ll image static objects directly on the scanner, moving objects at a distance, and things in between. You’ll leave understanding not only the image-making potential of the scanner, but also why it does things the way it does, and how others have used this potential in the past. You’ll also take home digital files of your scanner experiments.

We’ll be organizing rides from the Silver Spring Metro station to the campus for those who don’t want to walk. You’ll be sent information upon registration.
