A dumpster, via a flatbed scanner.

Ever feel like you should be doing more with your flatbed scanner? This class will teach you to use your scanner to create original artwork. We’ll image static objects directly on the scanner, moving objects at a distance, and things in between. You’ll leave understanding not only the image-making potential of the scanner, but also why it does things the way it does, and how others have used this potential in the past. You’ll also take home digital files of your scanner experiments.

This class will meet at the MLK Fabrication Lab. Ask a the library information desk for directions.

This class is presented in partnership with DC Public Library.
