In Security 101: Protect Yourself Online, you learned the basics of keeping your online privacy intact. (If you didn’t, that’s OK. You can still take this class.) What about the files that live on your physical device?

In this class, you will learn about ways to encrypt specific files, folders, or your entire hard drive so that only you can access the data. The class will also touch on the advantages and limitations of each approach, leaving you with the knowledge to make an informed decision about the method that best fits your needs.

This is the second class in a three-part series, and the series will conclude with Mobile Security. Laptops are not required, but you may bring one if you’d like.

This class is presented in partnership with DC Public Library.
