SHARE Fair 2013
An event presented by SHARE Fair, a friend of KCDC.
SHARE Fair is a free space where activists from different movements come together to share practical skills and learn from each other. We have an exciting slate of booths this year, including:
- Street harassment: why and how to respond
- Fundamentals of fundraising
- Deeptalks: breaking social scripts to initiate meaningful communication
- A tribe to share life with: starting an intentional community
- Intro to Sewing: how to sew on a button
- Effective strategies and success stories for anti-foreclosure activism
- Media skills: speaking and writing
- Effective communication strategies through diverse media
- Urban composting
- Taking ownership in your community (buying a home)
After the fair, nearby group home The Blue Parka will host a potluck dinner and discussion of the activist community in D.C. How can we build bridges and support each other across “silos”? Come to meet new friends, inspire your activism, and have fun on a beautiful fall afternoon!
This is not a KCDC event, so please RSVP on SHARE Fair’s Facebook page. The fair will be held in St. Stephen’s auditorium.
This is not a KCDC event. It is produced by another organization. We include it because we think that it will be of interest to our students.
