Short-Circuiting Small Talk

date Thursday, 12 September 2013 time 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

👤 Vipin Thek 🏢 Southeast Neighborhood Library

Past

This course is for anyone who wants to bring more authenticity, connection, and empathy into their relationships, both personal and professional.

Through activities, breath work, and conversation, you’ll practice how to be more present and curious when talking to others, and how to move beyond social fillers such as “what do you do?” and “where are you from”? For example, you’ll learn how to steer a group conversation toward a deeper level of engagement (or maybe just make it more fun).

You’ll walk away with simple, effective icebreakers aimed at building empathy, shifting group energy through movement, and developing authentic connections between people.

This class is presented in partnership with DC Public Library.
