Ever since the Snowden news broke last summer, issues of individual online privacy and security have attracted unprecedented attention. Technical security topics are often presented as black and white: Either an individual is totally vulnerable and clueless, or he/she is a super-secure, badass hacker. The reality is that online security is a gray area. Securing your privacy is a process with many steps.
This class will cover some basic techniques of online security. We will provide advice for how to handle your passwords and tips for more secure browsing.
