Part discussion and part creative workshop, this class will first survey the treatment of AI in science fiction before we set off to imagine our own futures. We’ll dive deep into the practical, ethical, existential, and fantastical implications of Artificial Intelligence and how it will change the course of humanity — not to mention the daily lives of its constituents.

No technical or programming knowledge is required, but this class is recommended for people who are reasonably well versed in AI concepts. If you’re not, Singularity 101: A Layperson’s Take on AI will prepare you for this class.
