The Breathing Body
The Breathing Body is an embodiment experience for everyone. It is a directed awakening of the senses, nervous system, bone, breath, muscle and fluids to bring the participant into a heightened awareness of whole self and greater sensitivity to the surrounding environment. The Breathing Body is inspired by Heather’s studies in Gyrokinesis, Body Mind Centering and Contemplative Movement. Through a simple series of seated and standing spiraling movements coordinated with breath work in one of the most beautiful parks in DC, we’ll explore the interplay of physical, mental and spiritual self in a community setting. You’ll carry this relaxation and balance into your day.
