Ever wonder just how your credit card number says safe when you send it over the internet? Or how your bank password stays secret when you log in? This class will give a high-level overview of the technology that allows your web browser to send confidential information across the internet securely. We’ll also cover recent vulnerabilities in internet security, including foreign governments’ attempts to spy on e-mail communication. It is targeted toward your everyday Internet user, and no computer science or programming knowledge is necessary.
