Examples of matchbox art created by your teacher, Sonia.

In this class, you’ll learn how to make small dioramas or “pop-ups” using a matchbox as your frame. We’ll briefly look at other artists who make miniature art and discuss the concept of a matchbox “theater.” We’ll then use X-Acto knives, paper, glue, old postage stamps, and magazine images to create a matchbox piece that you can take home with you.

If you have images that you want to incorporate into your art feel free to bring them along. All materials will be provided.
