Topiary is the horticultural practice of training live perennial plants into clearly defined shapes, perhaps geometric or fanciful.  The traditional method requires clipping the foliage and twigs of trees, shrubs, and subshrubs to develop and maintain a recognizable shape. Using wire forms and vining plants is another solution for making topiaries (though there’s still a lot of clipping involved).

Through notable examples and lively demonstrations, this class will teach you the basics of this rewarding, if time-consuming, artform.

Stay after the class for City Blossoms Movie Night: “Edward Scissorhands”!
