Past

Have you ever been duped by a tweet containing bad information (that you retweeted) or fallen for a Photoshopped image? The onslaught of news and information is overwhelming. It’s easy to take in whatever we read or see at face value. And with a smartphone in everyone’s hands, we are connected to social media, news apps, text alerts, and email at all times.

In this class, you will learn to think like a (savvy, digital) journalist when it comes to how you decide what to believe online. Anyone who consumes online content can benefit.

This class is presented in partnership with DC Public Library.
