Uyghurs eat this.

Who are the Uyghurs? And what do they eat?

1. The Uyghurs are a Central Asian, Turkic-speaking people who live mostly in northwestern China.

2. They eat phenomenal food that’s quite difficult to come by in the U.S.

Join us for a traditional Uyghur (prounounced we-grrr) picnic of naan, tea, and hand-pulled noodles, made fresh by a Fairfax-based Uyghur cook. After a basic introduction to the Uyghur language, your teacher, Ashley, will use food to explain key cultural and language-related concepts.

Please bring $5 to cover food and come hungry. Please note that there will be no vegetarian dishes.

Location
