You’ve heard the stats about food waste and want to reduce your role. Fortunately, there are many ways to improve buying habits and care for perishables once they are in our homes.

Bring those wilted greens back to life! Via instruction and live demonstration, you will learn storage and processing techniques to care for items like produce, meat, and dairy. Topics will include blanching and freezing, butting and crisping, proper usage of refrigerator compartments, dealing with pesky leftovers, and the worst-case scenario: composting.

Stay after the class for City Blossoms Movie Night: “WALL-E”.
