Past

This course is aimed at those who fear writing, whether the task at hand is composing an essay for work or school, penning a letter to a friend or the community board, or whipping up a last-minute speech.

The elements of good writing apply to all these formats. This class will help you unleash the clear, concise prose that is essential in effective communication.

You’ll be asked to write a short essay during the class. Feel free to bring any non-dramatic prose (so, no plays, screenplays, or poems) that you’ve struggled with previously.

The most common mistakes in grammar also will be covered.
