Your Slice of the Action: Cake Decorating for Beginners
There it is, yet again: another floral cake at your 178th reception of the summer. If it weren’t for your bridesmaid (or groomsman) duties — and your lack of skill — you’d give in to your fantasy of Van Gogh-ing that tasteful icing into an expressionistic masterpiece.
Learn to channel that cake-based creative energy! In this course for novices, we’ll talk about choosing types of cake and icings; tips and techniques for the decorating process; equipment needed, and simple cake designs. Then we’ll enjoy hands-on experimentation with buttercream icing and cupcakes.
There is a $5 materials fee for this class to cover the baked goods everyone will be decorating!
