Building on Intro to Placemaking, we’ll dive deeper by reviewing interesting examples of people using placemaking tactics to create community in existing spaces. Then, you’ll be guided in designing your own project idea.

Stephanie Echeveste is an artist/urbanist focused on creating social change through creative experiences. She works by day as placemaking manager for a real estate company in the D.C. area, and after hours she runs a creative workshop called cocktails+craft. She loves creating memorable experiences, traveling, and learning what makes people tick. Placemaking and placekeeping are among her passions, and she is committed to inspiring others to do their part to make the world a little bit more beautiful.
