Not all statistics have to be lies, and not all charts have to be pies! This class will teach you how to tell effective stories with data — to design graphs and slides that capture the truth and make it accessible to technical and non-technical audiences alike. On the flip side, it will help you see through manipulative graphs and ask tough questions about the meaning of the data with which they are presented. You’ll leave class with a better understanding of the art of data storytelling, ready to use it in any professional setting.
